Title: Calling all nerds - TechEd 2011

D4D and I were talking about it, wondering if many Swaggers will be there, and whether there would be any interest in getting together some time. :cheers:

TechEd on the Gold Coast - where the sun, surf and pubs are all neglected by 2000 nerds who CHOOSE to sit inside darkened lecture theatres all day instead. And we wonder why no one will take us seriously... 8) ;D

I got capex approved for a box of pencils today! only took 19mths.. I might apply for the 2020 one and see how I go...

That's why it was approved because it was not useful, try buying a new bunch of blade servers & then P to V all the old physicals. They just laughed! Seriously though our IT budget was hit fairly hard this year. Hope it is better next year as we have a heap of PC's coming out of warranty. Our old motto was "do more with less", now it's "do heaps with nothing"

our servers are out of warranty, we only just got Dell to come out and extend it, and the tape backup unit is on its own.... no warranty at all... we already have the emails laminated and ready to ram up their arses when everythin dies sayin we told you so....

I need a change of job, I want to be a train driver
