How do you check your break lights?
Bec?
-
I jam a piece of dowel between the brake pedal and the seat
-
How fast can you run?
-
I have a trained monkey (my 9 yo son). Sometimes he operates the brake pedal other times he just yells that they are working. His grandfather didn't find it funny today when he hooked up my trailer and asked my son to check the lights, When they got to the indicators the young bloke say "yes no yes no yes no". Trained well, one of my finest moments.

I have one of the LED versions of this;

Wired up to the dash, works with the Jayco and the box trailer..... wouldn't tow without it.

When I am on my own I use the reflection of the brake lights on the gate. Otherwise I have used a piece of wood jammed between the seat and the brake peddle

Dazz has the best way to check ..... Bec is the ultimate weapon in brake light checking .... Maybe they might share the secret with all of us >:D

The kids normally check mine, I wonder when the excitement of seeing a light come on will end ;D

Used to have an old mirror $5 special from a garage sale mounted at the end of the shed, placed on angle so that i could see what was working. Took it down a while ago because a bird fell in love with it's own reflection and kept head butting it, birds since moved on.

Drive along the road until you get a tailgater following close.
Put your brakes on lightly.
If the car behind you suddenly swerves or brakes hard, you know they work.
-
It is easy, you engage the trailer hand brake and then go around the back to check.... easy :cup: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
How fast can you run?
why would you need to run if you jam the brake pedal down?
maybe the break pedal is different ;D

Hi Lost
You will have to let Dazza78 explain the circumstances for all of us. The answer is bloody funny. :cup:

OK......sick of waiting on Dazza. Here is Mrs Dazza78's way of checking the brake lights. ;D
The Dazza78 family was away on the cape trip. And Mr asked Mrs to check the brake lights. She said how? Mr told her that if she pressed the brake pedal and then ran quickly to the rear of the camper the lights would still be on.
Mrs walked away.
Mr thought, No my lovely wife is not this stupid to fall for it! To Mr suprise Mrs sprinted passed Mr quick as a flash hoping to catch the brake lights before they went out.
Pure Gold Bec. :cup:
