Hi there:
I've been lurking in the forums for a while now and have already learned quite a lot, so thanks for that! We're about to take the plunge on a new kimberley kamper and have a trip planned to the Flinders in about a month or so. So cheers, and thanks for all the great info here.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll take/post pix when we get the rig & set it up. We're towing with a (stock) 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport CRD.

Welcome to myswag and top choice in a KK.

Woo hoo ... the KK is ordered! ;D
We got the LE - with the diesel heater, extended drawbar, 70 L water tank and Kwik awing walls. Other than that, it is pretty stock. It is a pity that they couldn't match the Jeep's track width and wheel size but ya can't have everything, I guess.
I noticed that you can buy a KK in the United States for roughly 10k cheaper than in Australia. They take off 10% for lack of GST (of course), but 10% as an "export discount". And then freight to LA is free! That just isn't right ... <sigh>
But I'm still excited about the kamper!

Wonder what it would cost to ship one back here? ;D
