As an owner of a POD I get updates from time to time so here's the latest offering from Stockman
Pretty good for a couple on a quick tour ... Somewhere around the $10-14,000 mark ( depending on the extras) gets you off-road , water tank, kitchen , tent and annex ..and a load mass of under 500 Kgs !!
No affiliation but love the concept !
Cheers

Saw my first POD trailer this weekend at Mission Beach and must admit, I was impressed. Yes, on the small side but perfect for 2 people. The tow vehicle was Subaru Outback and looked a good combo......I would seriously consider one if it was just me and the boss. Weight always kills in the bush and these look a good compromise.....

Well I AM a POD so :P!
Hey Steve, where's the kitchen on this one? They look pretty sweet!
-
It sits on the RHS in the tub and pulls straight out as in the bigger tourer model - I didn't get one as I thought $2000 was a bit steep for a SS Kitchen drawer without stove !!

Do they need both bikes to tow it or will one do??
-
Steve with a 60 sac tent how long dose it take to get a clodie in the claw & your butt in a chair

Like the concept but... looks good for 2 people. If there is only two of you then you barely need a camper. Roof top tent will do it and you don't need to bother towing or spending $14K.

Steve is there storage under the bed area?

When I spoke with Phil at the 4WD Show at Wandin he said they had made the new tubs deeper than the one that I have - mine only has 19 cms of space under the tent/bed floor . From memory I think its now 25 cms - but the kitchen slides under there on the drivers side so yep there's a bit of storage but like mine not a huge amount but workable for 1 or 2 people - I haven't seen this baby yet so I don't know if there's any room left under the lid when its closed - I can get all my annex canvas , floor , 2 chairs , 2 king size inflatable mattresses and sleeping gear in mine - dunno with this as the tent might be firmly attached to the lid to give the 60 second erection time ?? Like to nip over and check one out ..but Seaford is on the other side of the known world for me...Over the Yarra !!
Cheers

Pretty pricey for what you get, but looks the goods.

I like it. Simple and perfect for solo or a couple and for softroaders etc. Pricey but many of the trailers on the market are. only thing I find odd is mention of the slide out kitchen being on the RHS. I thought these were made locally so why would you set it up such that the kitchen opens onto the road if you stop for a roadside break?

Looks like they got off the bikes in a hurry....maybe for some "Private time"

Except that you need to pack up camp every time you want to go for a drive ???
