doesnt have to be for the trailer....... ill be happy to put them on my ute

I'm pretty sure all the plates are available for trailers. You pay the same price but only get one plate. Well that was the case went I got MYSWAG for my camper.
As for the design on the plate you could approach PPQ and see what they say. If there is enough interest they would do it as they are a business.

My wife applied for some personal plates for my camper trailer im building as a surprise, and this is the reply email she got from PPQ.

The following vehicles can have personalised plates: Motor vehicles, Motorcycles including scooters, Large Trailers (large caravans, mobile homes, semi-trailers, however conditions apply), Conditional (club registered vehicles, golf buggies, historical registered vehicles, special interest vehicles) and Motorised Wheelchairs.
However, Small Trailers (eg box trailers, jet-ski trailers, boat trailers), limousines, taxis, ambulances, tractors, farm vehicles and vehicles registered interstate cannot display Queensland personalised plates.
For more information please contact the PPQ Team on 136 356.

So I called them up and they told me;
If your trailer is regd. under 1.02t you cannot purchase Personal plates for it.
And if it's regd. as a Box trailer you cannot purchase personal plates for it.
Oh well bugger. I'll have to spend the $500 odd $$$ elsewhere that she was going to spend :laugh:

either that or fill the trailer with lead to get it over the 1.02t rating and then your laughing...
