Whilst at the Brisbane show it occurred to me that many (most) hard-shell/hard-floor camper trailers are quite large (long and wide) with poor or inefficient utilisation of available space. I accept that there are probably some good marketing reasons for this (family size for one). Jayco appear to be one of the few hard-shell manufacturers that have some variability in size. TVAN, Conqueror, Bolwell and Ultimate have compact designs albeit at the premium end of the market.
Bearing in mind a significant segment of the market are couples without children (grey nomads etc). It appears odd that there are not more manufacturers exploring this aspect of the market.
Just another useless thought.

Maybe small & tough (like T Van) doesn't translate into larger sizes well, so manufacturers tend to specialize.

ModCon, forward fold hard floors have excellent storage space...that's why we bought one.
