Well I have just sold our Camel CT (well deposit paid and should be collected this week) and am now in the market for a second hand Goldstream CT.
Been following D4D's thread with great interest and the other Goldstream owners here on the forum.
Looked at one this afternoon that unfortunately did not tick all the boxes. Looking for a Storm or a Wing 3 but am open for other options that may come up.
A new one is out of the question but a well maintained unit newer than 2005 is our preference and within a couple of hours of Brisbane.
Thought I would keep a thread on our search for gold.

Appreciate any leads.

I'll keep my eye out for you, what spec are you looking for?

Would be happy with a Storm or Wing III however am not writing off the other layouts as the condition is more important to us than the actual layout. However the Storm and Wing III seem to be the most popular so in terms of re-sale may be better.
Some of the other layouts are 400 - 500mm shorter which I don't feel is a big issue but as the kids get older the extra space might be worth it.
2005/6 is probably as old as I would like to go.
Some of the preferred options
- Needs to be the off road model
- Fiamma awning (annex would be a bonus)
- Prefer 2 gas bottles
- Needs to have been garaged and well maintained.
- Bed end flys
- External roll out stove
I'm happy to tinker and add the extras progressively.
Looking at it as a long term leisure investment 10-15 years so need a good one.
The new ones have a steel floor, does anyone have an idea when this came in? The 2004 I looked at on the weekend had a plywood floor.

That's a pretty standard config so it won't be too hard to find. The gal floor is an option. The roll out stove takes up storage space and you can't move it to cook if you don't want to cook near the camper. You can always pack an external stove on the floor when travelling.
Here's a nice Wing in QLD, not many Storms around at the moment

Camel picked up tonight, now the hunt begins.
Thanks D4D for the links, have seen these ads but a little on the high $ side and too far away.
After seeing one that the seller described as 'excellent' and 'like new', when it was actually quite crap, rusty and smelled of BO and prawns I would be hesitant at travelling more than 2 hours.
Not yet desperate and am after a long term prospect.

Nice clean slate to work with.
Will pick it up on the weekend.
