About that post of the Fugly camper.
Got a look at this yesterday at the Brisbane Camper show. You HAVE to see it in person to appreciate the style and build quality. Something I'd expect from a luxury yacht.

PS my little sis has just joined the fraternity and we did a killer deal on a Marlin camper at the show.
I couldn't have built it myself for same money it was so good a deal.
So all I have to do is build the kitchen.

Jeez, I got excited there for a moment. I thought that you were talking about some hot babe. Nice camper though.
-
Very nice... Whats the $$$$$ ?
-
Yep! That sure is one sexy looking camper. Just went into the gallery on their website and viewed all of the pics.
What sort of price were they talking about at the show for these?
-
$60K from memory and boy do they look good, they had 2 on show and both have sold stickers on them
-
Hmmmm thought it was going to be more along these lines....
I am with you Bull, now that's worth $60 grand ;D

Hmmmm thought it was going to be more along these lines....
I would think the first camper would be cheaper in the end run.

As said in the other thread on these, Paul already has had one on order fo months :)

:'( The wait is killing me.
Hope to get down to the factory later this week when the boys get back from the Brissy show.
Still hoping for the end of June. Would have been away in one now but I changed a few design things. I'm sure the wait will be worth it though.
Cheers

No offence to the OP..or his sister, but I reckon I could weld neater than the poorly trained monkeys that knock up trailers for Marlin. I was standing next to one briefly(the trailer, the monkeys might bite) and didn't bother looking any further after spotting what looked like the handywork of Pro Hart with a stickwelder on the sidepanels and guard. Not seen more $hit spalttered everywhere but where it was needed since I last tried welding at school....and I still reckon I was neater...just.
The Bolwell was a trick bit of kit....but I had to rule it out....no boat loader.....and +60K...actually almost 70 I think.
I came out of there with probably more questions than answers as to which trailer for me.

Hi mate
I know the marlin trailers might not look the best but they have strength where I felt it counted and we were on a budget looking for:
*Had to be able to be hooked up, towed and completely set up by a 5'5" female.
*The best bang for bucks. (try $3299 for a HD 6x4 (commodore hubs, 14" rims) with Oztrail camper 7, they threw in a sunroom and tilt strut system as a show special)
All she has to do is pick it up in a few weeks while I make her new kitchen up to match.
The direct competition in the price/type were doing similar deals but their trailers were just too flimsy for words and would bust the first time she dragged their stupid low mounted taillight bracket over a kerb.
So a deal was done and very happy. Let you know how it looks when it's picked up.

It's a great looking camper....pity they couldn't make it less than 2M wide and approx 2 or 3 hundred kilos lighter......and 20K cheaper !! ;D
