Title: New Wheels
Post by: just startin on June 10, 2011, 04:36:05 PM
 Hi Guy's & Girl's,
Just bought a set of steel wheels to fit my Pajero & new  Camper Trailer (matching) for off road travel, now all I need is a set of off road tyre's to suit both units. We have had Bridgestone 694 LT'S on the tow tug and had no puncture's in 60,000k of 50/50 road use. Want to go with them again but just quoted $330/ tyre. Any alteratives will be considered.
Thanks for your replies :D :D

D694's are good gear, had 'em on my Triton.60k and another 30k left when I sold it.

Been looking at Dick Cepek FC2, mate got them, he thinks they are ok.

Have the 694's on the Paj (std not the LTs). Just got a couple of LTs.  Waiting on the specials again. Usually about $280 on sale.

Very happy with them. Good in the wet , on dirt and sand.

Happy to stick with them even though they are expensive (265/65/17).

We are drop in the ocean in BF's market and last on list of exports. They are prioritising their market which is understandable so not sure if the demand is high over there at the moment or they are giving us the bird, because the waiting period of some sizes is a joke.

Depends on what model Pajero you have. If its a NS or NT then the tyres are 18's and $330 is cheap.

I had a set of A/T Yokohama Geolander 12 tyres fitted to my NS about 18 months ago and got them for $400 each which was at a discount at the time. Mind you, I am extremely happy with the tyres after nearly 40,000km and still going strong.

Cheers

There are quite a few people buying BFG tyres from the US now.  You can get them shipped to here for less than you can buy them here and it gets rid of the no BFG's available problem.

Email them to find out shipping cost to you.

Hi,

I did read yours are 17" and not sure if available in the Nexen Rodian AT II  however I have a Landcruiser with these in 15" X 31's and have over 30,00km's on-board and still looking very strong. With many on dirt, rock, mud, wet red dirt and beach am very impressed @ $140 per corner fitted, balanced and disposal. A cheap and quiet option.

Yes before I start an argument BFG's and Mickey's are better but at 2 times the price???

Cheers and Beers
