Title: LED light bulbs for JAYCO camper

We picked up our new camper three weeks ago  Were going to replace standard light bulbs with LED bulbs.  Dealer had thought those would be available in a week. 3weeks later no bulbs.   Now Camping up in the Blue Mountains.  Briefly back in Sydney then 10 weeks travel in Queensland.  Does anyone have a EBay link for bulbs - ideally straight swap for bulbs in the camper? 

Is it likely that an order today will be delivered to Sydney within a week?

Are you refering to tail light/indicator bulbs?  If so, it is still illegal to swap the incandescant for LED globes, you need to replace the whole fitting.  While you may never get picked up for it, it is something to consider if you get a picky Mr Plod on your tail.  Is it possible to by the full LED fittings from Jayco?

I've got a set in the Kitchen and storage of the camper.  IMO it will be  the luck of the draw if you can get them in a week .

Hey Cracka , Not that I would fit them to my taillights but I wander why are they Illegal?

G'day Mate,
I installed led globes into our new Hawk last night.
Absolutely awesome.
I got them on eBay pretty cheap. I think it was about $60 for 13 globes delivered from china.
They were recommended by a couple of other myswaggers.
I hope  this link works.

Yep, these are the ones that I also recommended a few months back.  :cup: They work well.  Whiter light than the std incandescent ones and draw stuff all power. They just plug in with one of the supplied adaptors & self adhesive in place , but I found that a dab of no-more-nails was also needed after 1 came unstuck

I got a couple of these 68 LED globes as a replacment for the old 21w incandesent ones.

They draw something like 0.2amp.

This may help you to choose.

With  20 smd 50/50 led is 20x20 lumen=400 lumen
with  36 1210 led         is 36x07 lumen=252 lumen
as you can see they are a 148 lumens brighter and use less power.

What is lumen of your LED products?

Each individual LED                     = 04 Lumen  
Each individual 1210 LED             = 07 Lumen
Each individual flux LED               = 08 Lumen
Each individual 5050 LED             = 20 Lumen

  Hi New Max,
 
 We got a new Jayco Penguin December 2009 and it came stantard with Led lights all round, so seems very strange that you have not got them.
