Looking at getting a new toilet / shower tent and i was wondering if anyone has a Coleman insta tent and was wondering how easy they are to set up, not overly interested in the pop up ones and the Coleman looks a good size inside the tent. Regards Ian

Personally the best shower/dunny tent is the 1 that can be disasembled & packed up by only 1 person . The spring loaded self poping uping things sometimes need 15 strong blokes & a slab of cans & a chainsaw ( Dont ask ) Check out the Newbee catchup Whroo thread for details .
& dont belive Black Diamond as he drinks a bit

I know you said you dont want a pop up but.....................there are differences. Find one with a fibreglass frame and all problems are solved
Amazon at Wetherill Park in Skidnee (the home of Oztent) do one that is first rate
You wont find betterer I dont reckon

We have a Oztrail Duo. after seeing Snow's in action ( only from the outside ;D), we decided that it would be no more battles with those pop up POS we had. From memory, the Duo is 1.2 x 2.4 m when set up with a dividing door between the 2 rooms. So far , no probs, pretty easy to use & plenty of room.

Put it this way, the only way the shower tent got back in to the bag was only after Speewa fired up the Husqvarna >:D

We use this one ;D. Just don't tell Dan (My Son) that we have that Pic or I'll be dead. We were in the middle on the Simpson so you'd have to feel sort of safe

We just use the single Oztrail pop up ones for showers and toilet we got them last year from the camping show at rosehill for $40 each
-
We have the double (side-by-side) one, it's great no need for pegs but I can never fold it back to the circle so I just lay it flat in the camper :)
-
We have a pop up tent for the shower, I was sceptical about it, ??? that is folding it up but it is easy. >:D I just leave the better half fold it, she has no problems, done in seconds. ;D
I will get a second one for the toilet I think.

Hi, we have a oztent pop up shower it has been terrific, I put it up, real easy and Ron puts it away.
Cheers

x 546782999333.2 for the pop up cubicle. Easy to put up, easy to put down. Light weight, no poles to bother with.

I have the oztrail pop up one and it's extremely easy to setup. We don't fold it up completely but rather fold it flat and lay in on the canvas under the cover before traveling. It take 2seconds to fold flat.
It's 2.5 years old and is starting to show signs of deterioration, but we did leave it outside at home for 2.5 weeks straight last year for shower duties while we had a new bathroom built. I'll probably be up for another one by next year but they're fairly cheap.
Cheers

jcclures If you spread the word that the pop up tent can be folded& in the bag ready to travel in seconds ,I may have to hunt you down , dont ask the rest >:D
-
We are Oztent junkies, so we got one of those. It's still in it's virginal state, but not for long >:D
-
Speewa158, it will be the misses you will be looking for not me, I can’t even get the thing folded flat without difficulty, it could be something to do with only having one arm though. ;D
-
Yep the pop ups take about 15 secs to do...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RprCFCCJ7Ow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RprCFCCJ7Ow)Check this out then havva nuvva tinny... ;D

Scotty,
We've got one of each - a cheap ($25 from memory?) pop-up job and one of the OzTrail framed Ensuite ones:
http://oztrail.com.au/WebPage.gtl?Product=MPE-ENS-B?currentgroup=ZZZ003?currentsubgroup=ENSUITES
(not the Duo one though, but I would like one of them).
We had the framed one first to hang the solar shower bag from, but then we broke it after overloading it with overfilled solar shower bags. Have repaired it now, and it's better for showering with the car-shower setup (have ditched the solar shower bags - apparently they break shower tents?) as you can clip the shower head onto the frame and it stays there.
Between breaking it and fixing it though we bought the pop up tent. It's great. There is a knack to folding them up though, which I invariably forget about and make an ass of myself for 15 mins before remembering the right sequence. Like the video that Crazy Dog just posted, once you work it out it makes everyone else who has one hate you. ;D
I love the pop-up tent because it's so quick and easy to set up, and so light to pack. The OzTrail ensuite one is good, and we'll use it now that we've fixed it, but probably only for longer stays. For long weekends and the like, we'll just use the pop-up tent.
Thanks!
Matto :)

That's pretty fancy Anne, but even though I'm over 6" tall I think I'd still need a step ladder or something to hop up on the seat there. I do like the integrated bidet though.
Thanks!

That'd be one of those fancy "lady" models - it's got a mirror and a "front-bottom washer"....

Hi,
What you see is a hand / wash basin not the actual toilet! I port-a-loo fits in this area if you don't wish to use the bush and a leaf or walk to the caravan park toilet late at night or very early hours of the morning.
cheers

I also have the oztrail pop up one and I don't fold it up completely, but rather fold it flat on top of the trailer before securing the trailer cover.
-

Seems to be a trend with you guys....my other half tried and tried and just leaves it up to me...I must admit though that I practiced and practiced in the privacy of my lounge before trying it in front of anyone. We have two pop up ones and find them easy to fit in, even after being flattened in a strong wind they just pop back up...good value :)
-
Those spring up tents are good for a laugh and a bit of frustration. Its amazing how you get it right the first go once, and then every time after it takes 10 minutes to fold up correctly.

That must be after a chilli fest hey??? >:D ;D

Can anyone give me one feedback on the river ratz shower tent. Just wondering how stable it is as it needs no guy ropes. Also from the pictures it looks as though there is a square base frame, just wondering how this would go being wet a lot of its life

You probably have to chamois it before putting it away. $249? A bit exxy to have a poop or a wee. ;D
