Hello All :)
Introduction, OK where do i start...
My husband & I are seasoned campers (14 yrs). However in the last 2 & a half years we have put the camping on hold due to having 2 boys.
All of our past camping was with a O Brien's offroad camper (butterfly deluxe) & an Oz tent.. Did I mention the trailer is up for sale ;) .... Reason being we are upgrading so we can start camping again with the boys. We are currently looking & purchasing possibly a Jayco Swan offroad or a Coromal Silhouette.. Still doing our research, so any hint or tips are welcome :)
Past trips for us have been a month up to the top end (beautiful part of the world), snowy river (once a year), mansfield area is a favorite & little desert is a great Easter break...
Anyway, i look forward to readying more & getting to know you all, hearing about you adventures, & sharing good getaway spots..
happy camping ;D

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :)
I have been browsing around the site reading bits & pieces, enjoying it :)
Can i ask, I have heard that if you have an off road Jayco & you take it off a sealed road you loose your warranty ??? Is this the case, has anyone had any issues? Why call it an offroad if you cant go off road >:(
-
I doubt if that would be correct but I couldn't be sure.
If they did knock a claim back you would have a good argument under the ACCC act.
It is advertised as Off Road so it is "fair and reasonable" to expect etc.......

Thanks Trevor :)
We did ask the question today & jayco said if you came in with a brocken axle etc they would question it, but common issues are fine, ie a bit coming loose etc..

Welcome aboard Nesspop. I don't believe it, another O'Brien's trailer (even if only for a short while) on My Swag. All the best with siftting through the info and advice on your way to your new camper.

Thanks Rossco :)
The O,Briens rolled out the drive thismorning :'(after 10 years it was a bit sad to see her go :(
On a brighter note, the new owners are taking her back up the middle, will be the 3rd trip for the old lady ;)
Now we wait, to hear back from Jayco :D

Well we have put the order in for the 16.49-2 expanda, roll on early June.. looking forward to upgrade :)

Congratulations Nesspop, those Expandas look great.
You can spend the next few weeks dreaming about places to visit.
I suppose your other half will be like the rest of them,
dreaming about what mods. he can do.
Have fun ,enjoy your new camper, Robyn.
