HI all , i have been a long time looker and not much of a user [ of this site that is ]. The family and i have been more part time campers then full time , a couple of years ago we hired a camper trailer and were impressed with it . So after looking for a fair while and finding this great site , we took the plunge and purchased a Lifestyle 360 camper trailer.Only one big trip under the belt , not a hard core off road type, lot of k's type .Looking forward to getting more great tips and enjoyable reading from everyone here at Myswag.

Hi homerj and welcome to My Swag

G'day homerj and welcome from FNQ.
That's great you've already had one big trip - where did you go?
We brought our first camper trailer home just yesterday, so looking forward to our first big trip in July - over to visit son and family in the NT. Between now and then, will do some little trips not far from home to get use to using it.
Enjoy your time on the forum - lots of very helpful members here.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome , our trip was from Home Hill to the Sunshine Coast [6 days but 4 of them in rain ]. Then out to Goondiwindi to see outlaws [couple of days to dry out ] , then mad rush to beat flood waters at Rochampton .Decided on 2 days at Airlie beach [ both raining] then finally home to dry out. Lots of rain and trying to beat floods , but one of the best holidays we had in a long time [ when things went wrong we told kids it was part of the adventure ].Everyone keen for next adventure.
Going to try and get to Burdekin Dam in 3 weeks and take some photos of the set up , then post in my camper section.
Cheers homerj.

Sounds like a great trip and very lucky you didn't get caught up in the floods somewhere. Considering how much of the state was affected, it's amazing you were able to dodge it.
We did a day trip to the Burdekin dam several years ago (from Townsville) - very pretty spot from memory. Also liked the look of Ravenswood on the way there and back.
Have a great trip. :D
