Redbook should be your first port of call. It'll give you an idea at least. http://www.redbook.com.au/ (http://www.redbook.com.au/)

Ditto the redbook , $1600- $3000 , , then again some young buck new to 4x4 may give you more.

Sorry, you're swapping a diesel 80, one of the most vaunted 4wds ever, for a Nissan with a highly modified engine? This does not sound to me as though you're trading up.
I don't mean that in the Toyota vs Nissan way either, but you've already got the best of the older 4wds.
-
Yea I understand that, but there is a few reasons for my madness. Don't get me wrong I know I will have regrets as I love my fourby to death but some things just need to be done (and atm I am still undecided anyway).
I would prefer a diesel now for touring Aus. Thinking a long range tank + sub would be the go...
With a growing family we need the extra seating...
Would really like some sort of luxuries like decent aircon lol...
Also it would be legal for my mrs to drive as she only recently got re-licenced and maybe even look at an auto so she can use it...

I think he is swapping the Nissan for a 80 Series Diesel - not an 80 Series for a Nissan....
-
Actually it's a Ford Maverick he's selling and he wants to buy an 80 Series.
Not a Nissan in sight! LOL!
Nissan V's Toyota ... you boys crack me up .... ;D

Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Holden....They are all Shitboxes LOL
If I didn't have a family to worry about I would be driving a noisy petrol fumed, headache creating Mazda Rotary!!!

Chook cooker!
I once had a grey import series 4 turbo convertible. Glad to see the end of it I was.

If she is a tidy unit 8 to 10g's. looking at some mods and a capable truck.
If you looking to up grade with a family and touring in mind bite the bullet
and go 100 series.More room and bits everywhere.
For what its worth I have a Turbo TD42 GQ wagon with a bit of gear on it.
I bought it with my family in mind (3 boys) and now they have grown a bit he back space is
a little crowded. We looked at 100 series but i was a tight arse and bought the GQ.
She has been good to us but soon i will have to up grade and start the mods again.
I should have done it that way to start with.
But that is what suits me, it might not you.
Good luck either way.
Cheers Ian.
P.s the outlaws have an 80 series,Great truck.

Hello UR-50-LO,
I must admit that I am a nissan nut. Why get rid of what is the best base 4x4 made? Most wreckers will sell a wrecked MQ/GQ complete, pick up a wreck with a TD42 turbo and turn your maverick into a diesel powered unit with the modern/luxury items out of the wreck. Food for thought. Cheers Duggie.

Its like everything else for sale, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Cheers DP

;D I am with you on all counts. At the boys formal earlier this week a couple of rotary's turned up one nice rx4 couldn't idle under 3000+rpm :) fuel fumes hurt my ageing eyes, ears still ache but even at my age I got a semi :D believe me at a year 10 formal a old bastard does not want to be seen anywhere near one of those with a semi, :-[ ,, but that rotary bought back dreams and memories...
